Biography
After winning a scholarship as a Junior Exhibitioner to the Royal Academy of Music I attended the Guildhall School of Music and Drama where I graduated in piano/violin performance and composition. I then gained a P.G.C.E. at the Roehampton Institute as a fully qualified teacher.
My private practice includes:
- Young children and adults
- Beginners to advanced students
- Preparation for the instrumental grade examinations
- Teaching theory grades 1 - 8
- People who wish to learn purely for pleasure
I have taught extensively in schools and been a regular accompanist for musical plays, choirs, concerts and examinations within educational establishments performing in venues such as Westminster Abbey, the Royal Academy of Music and Battersea Arts Theatre. I also enjoy rehearsing and playing with professional performers.
Alongside a lively piano and violin teaching schedule I work as a composer and samples of my music can be heard on www.goldenlyrepublications.com. The children’s music is now available through www.waterstones.com www.amazon.co.uk and www.whsmith.co.uk
I have enjoyed teaching/performing for twenty years and work closely with my pupils to ensure the lessons are both rewarding and enjoyable.
