Biography
Sarah-Ann is a graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music, where she studied piano and organ under the guidance of Kevin Bowyer. Following graduation, she was awarded the Assistant Organist position and a Teaching Assistantship at the University of Florida (USA). Whilst in the states, Sarah-Ann gave recitals throughout Florida and in Los Angeles.
Now back in London, Sarah-Ann continues to perform regularly on both organ and piano, including themed hotel openings in the city centre and lunchtime organ recitals in Mayfair. She also continues to compose and transcribe music, skills learnt from her time at Birmingham Conservatoire where she was a junior student.
Sarah-Ann has a wealth of teaching experience on both piano and organ, as well as theory, and has been teaching for over 7 years. This includes private, university and music school tuition. From children to adults, beginners to more advanced musicians, she prides herself on tailoring lessons to fit the specific needs of each student. Lessons with Sarah-Ann are well rounded, fitting in crucial musicianship skills and useful theoretical knowledge, she also encourages the more advanced student to take the initiative when interpreting repertoire.
