Biography
Rima Podprugina was born in Lithuania, started to learn the piano from 7years old. Her piano study in Lithuania was: Alytus Music School (7 years), Kaunas J.Gruodis Higher Music School, now - Kaunas J.Gruodis Conservatory (4 years), Lithuanian Conservatory in Vilnius, now - Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (5 years).
Her teacher experience - 22 years. She worked in Vilnius "Ąžuoliukas" Music School last 19 years: the piano teacher, concertmaster (accompanist for instrument, voice and choir), Deputy Director of Education (1year), Head of Piano Section (7years).
She was the member of Organizing Committee and Jury of many International and Republic Festivals - Competitions, the Project manager of Republic Festivals - Competitions in Lithuania. She collected, edited and published the piano works by Lithuanian Contemporary Composers "In The Palm of Motherland" (2004), participated in a development the Collection of Piano Works For Children - "Moments" (2009), wrote the methodical reports and articles.
"I like to work with the young pianists. My pupils age was from 6 to 19 years old. Many of them were the laureates of Lithuanian Republic Festivals - Competitions, had the prizes and diplomas, were prepared for various concerts, festivals, competitions in each year. They like music very much. So I'm happy and I think that can be helpful to the young pianists."
