Biography
Maya Soltan was born in Ufa , Russia and enrolled in a music school at the age of five. She continued her education at the Moscow State Conservatory of Tchaikovsky and graduated with Distinction.
Maya performed extensively in Moscow and throughout Russia as a soloist as well as with orchestras. She successfully participated in international piano competitions, gaining diplomas in "A teacher and a pupil" competition in Russia and in the London International Music Competition, the Grand Prizes in an International Piano Competition in Italy and the North London Piano School International Festival in 2007.
15th January 2007 Maya made a debut recital in London, St.Martin-in-the-Fields. Programme included Brahms op.118, Sviridov Sonata (3mvts), Liszt Paraphrase on Verdi’s Rigoletto and Ireland Exuinox (as anchor).
Currently Maya is a fellow student with the London College of Music and Media and takes consultations from Dr Michael Schreider.
Maya also extensively performs in duet with Riko Tanaka (Soprano).
