Biography
Kat is a qualified classically trained pianist; she graduated with disctinction from the National Conservatoire in Athens (Greece) and then continued at the Ecole Normale in Paris and the Royal Academy in London (studied with Christopher Elton, Head of Keyboard). She has performed extensively solo, with ensembles and now composes and performs her own material. She currently teaches privately and also at North London's Hap'ning Place (has also taught at Mossbourne Community Academy).
Her pupils have been consistently successfull the ABRSM piano exams and she is also available as accompanist for ABRSM/Trinity Guildhall exams (all levels). She teaches classical piano (with emphasis on strong repertoire and aural/sightreading), but also covers jazz and contemporary and can provide advice with songwriting/arrangements/theory etc and general musicianship.
When she's not teaching Kat performs at events and private functions, as a solo pianist and also with her jazz duo.
