Biography
Giovanna was born in Wollongong, Australia. She has been teaching piano for over 10 years. In Sydney (2005-07) she was working as a professional teacher for the International School of Music where she taught the A.M.E.B. Series for classical piano grades 1-8 including theory.
In 2003 she completed the A.N.Z.C.A. Series (Australian and New Zealand Cultural Arts) in which she graduated as an Associate Performer. Giovanna went on to graduate in 2005 with a Distinction for the Diploma of Music at the Wollongong Conservatorium of Music. It was here that she discovered jazz! She moved to Sydney later that year to join the jazz ensemble at the Sydney Conservatorium Open Academy, where she studied jazz and improvisation. During this time she formed the jazz ensemble "The Con Artists" who gave many performances in Sydney including the oldest jazz club in Sydney Bar Me.
Giovanna has a wide range of experience teaching syllabuses in piano including the A.B.R.S.M. She is a highly motivated teacher who implements classical and jazz techniques to enhance the student's knowledge of music and performing.
