What are lessons like?
Colin provides a friendly, supportive and realistic learning environment. He firmly believes that everyone can improve what they do, however limited the time they have to invest, and that this happens best when the learning process itself is fun and rewarding. Lessons are very much a two-way process. You can expect help and guidance in:
- Using limited practice time to best advantage
- Getting pleasure out of your music making
- Overcoming particular obstacles and difficulties
- Setting suitable learning goals
- Assessing your own progress
- Balancing ‘work’ and ‘play’ in your plans
- Meeting your aims and ambitions
Colin has many years experience of helping people of all ages and aptitudes to develop new skills in as easy and rapid a fashion as possible. He has personal experience of learning complex new skills and techniques whilst holding down a demanding job. This has given him special understanding of those whose time is limited and who have significant external demands on their time and energies
