Biography
I am a highly experienced classical musician and piano teacher with particular experience of working with children and young people of different backgrounds.
I am a graduate of the Moscow Conservatoire and have a postgraduate diploma in Performance, Chamber Music, Piano Teaching, and Accompaniment. I have attended courses for young teachers at the Conservatoire Statale di Musica in Bolzano, Italy, and the Conservatoire in Pardubice, Czech Republic. I have also furthered my interest in music education by attending upgrading courses for children with special educational needs.
My approach is based on traditional Russian schooling techniques tempered with modern teaching methods. In the last 10 years I have had over 200 students (ages ranging from 3 to 25!), and have guided them through their very first steps in music up to entry to some of the most prestigious music schools and colleges where required. Over 50 of my students have passed their grade examinations with Distinction (the highest classification available). I have been working in the UK since 2002 and am a registered teacher at the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.
