Frequently Asked Questions

How much do your lessons cost?

  • Rates vary from tutor to tutor, but are generally between £20-40 per hour.

Please check our tutor's individual profiles for further details. If, for example, you have two children and wish them to share an hour's lesson to keep costs low then this will be perfectly possible.

How many lessons will I need per week?

  • Most students have one lesson a week, but we understand that if you are busy it may be hard to keep this commitment some weeks!

You can therefore have as many or as few lessons per week as you like.

Your tutor can help you work out a lesson and practice schedule if you are interested in working towards grade examinations.

Can you enter me for grade exams?

  • Yes, we can do this and advise you on which we feel is most appropriate for you.

Will I need a piano at home?

  • No, most of our tutors have their own teaching facilities available.

Of course, if it is more convenient for you a tutor can come and visit you at home.

Do you offer any courses?

  • At the moment The London Piano School does not officially organise any courses.

However, we are in the process of looking for premises in which to conduct regular piano courses at all levels, so if you are interested in this do drop us a line so we can keep you updated.

All of our tutors would be happy to organise a course of lessons if requested.

I want to get some piano lessons as a gift for someone - can I do this?
