I have a very lovely Bechstein upright, model 8, made in the 70s which I cannot house and which I would be willing to loan to a suitable home. If you know of anyone who is in need of a quality piano, please let me know. I would obviously have to make sure they knew how to look after the instrument properly, and because it is a large piano they would need to have enough space for it.

We would draw up an agreement to include removal costs, insurance and routine tuning/maintenance. Otherwise, the offer is free of charge.

The cost of removal via The Piano People is £100+VAT ground floor to ground floor I have 2 internal staircases which is an extra £40. I am willing to pay half the costs ie. £70

It's present condition is......two sharp keys not functioning due to broken hammer strike heads (which I have...whether they can be glued back in place or new ones will be needed I'm afraid only an expert could tell but definitely repairable )..also two flats sometimes misfiring due to slight misalignment of hammer strike heads these would need looking at and adjusting.

It has a fantastic tone and general sound and both pedals are in functioning order. It would need fine tuning but obviously after a move.
